We pray every day that the Lord may open the eyes of our mind for His plans for this island and the correct use of the faculties and the capacities He has entrusted us. I expect a development of the work, but I don't understand in which direction He will guide us.

Who had ever thought that we would have opened a FM radio that reaches half of the island? Certainly this was not in our plans yet the Lord has guided us from one day to the other to open a radio station.

The same is true of the use of the Internet to preach the Gospel and communicate the sound doctrine to the deviated. If one day a brother wouldn’t have encouraged me and given me a computer, I would not have bought a computer. But from having a computer and building Pages in the internet there is quite a difference, yet the Lord has led me thus. We thank the Lord that He uses this pages from Hawaii up to Australia.

Both the medium could be amplified. For the radio we are restricted by the laws in vigor and the authorities that have denied us several improvements. We know from the Word of God that the authorities are under His control and this comforts us, because the radio doesn't serve us, but exists in order to preach the Gospel.

I hope to be able to enlarge the pages for the Internet.

Some brethren of Alghero continue to go every week to the house for elderly people. A day they do there the Sunday school with the children they bring there and the another day a young man gives a little Bible exposition. We are appreciated. Unfortunately the priest sings a very different melody that jangles.

2001-07-23

We have a great desire that the Gospel might expand in all the island. We are not satisfied with that which we have attained until now. I have a kind of nervous breakdown and I must decelerate with the work, because of the headache. The Lord knows it and pray that he indicates me the way He likes to conduct me. But even if our forces become less we believe that the Lord might do more with us, as His power is demonstrated in our weakness.

Priests
Meanwhile I have a good contact with the catholic and orthodox bishop and with several priests. We know only the Holy Spirit is able to push down the stronghold of the traditions. It is difficult for them to receive that "only Jesus" can save us and no saints and Madonnas and icons can help.

Evangelina goes already for 3 years to the marked. She got the possibility to change the exposition place. Therefore she has the possibility to testify to new itinerant merchants who have their place nearby and she has also a different public which passes by.
God has given to her the joy that some persons have given their address in order to be visited. One family attained for 20 years an assembly in Germany. They are already back for 10 years and have not looked for an assembly here. Salvatore (the mans name) says he has his own faith. Now we have visited them already twice.
The same do some sisters of Sassari’s church. Several sisters from Alghero go to Bosa, a little village.

From June 24 to July 1^st Evangelina has had her last camp with 30 children between 7 and 12 years.

The radio
We pray still for the authorization to be able to increase the power of our radio for the zone of Sassari. We have installed already a pylon of 15 meters and placed 4 new antennas. Only we now should get the permission. Is not the Lord also the Lord of our authorities?

Sunday, august the 5^th we have had a worship service with a German youth group. At the evening they played football with our youth.

Sunday, September 2nd we plan to have our yearly baptisms

2001-11-05

From October 7^th to 13^th we have had an evangelisation with Richard Wiskin, a Canadian missionary married with a Swiss sister and living in Switzerland. We had one meeting in the theatre of Alghero, three meetings in the university, three in a theatre, one in a High school in Sassari and one in a school of Porto Torres.
The preparations for this meetings and the meetings in themselves gave us a quite a busy time.
Richard has a very good preparation regarding the evolution- and great flood problems and helped believers and none to understand better that there is no discrepancy between real science and the Bible. Also one meeting about his past mission work in Nepal has been challenging. He told us also about Afghanistan where he passed through with many perils.|
We pray for the people who have listened and also for an eventual new evangelisation with him in the future. We ask ourselves what could have been done better. It was the first time that I gave the preparation responsibilities to others. This brought many problems I never had before. But the believers have to learn how to go forward without us otherwise they remain always dependent.

Evangelina has a good number of new contacts. Every day of the week she is visiting at least one of this contacts until they will decide to follow Jesus. It is hard to leave a contact after one o more years of work, when you see there is little hope for a clear decision. Lastly she left Lucia a very sweet lady because she isn’t ready to make a clear decision. She is married to a divorced man.

We enjoy that a young lady, Monia, we knew through Internet, is now visiting a church we indicated her. She was confused through a Jehovah witness and looked for the word "Revelation" in the Internet. In this way she found our WebPages. In the study about the different dispensations she found that also we believe that the Kingdom will be on this earth and she thought that we have the same faith as her friend from the JW. She wrote and I could help her to see the difference.

We pray for the spiritual growth of those brethren we hope to be able to give the responsibility of the conduction of the local church.
We pray for the conversion of some Senegalese. Abram is a good contact. He is a sincere man; yet he has not grabbed the Gospel yet.
We pray also for the Lords work among the priests.
